The Biggs Lab Presents New Research at the 4th Annual Matrix Biology Ireland Meeting in Dublin, Irel

The 4th Annual MBI meeting was hosted by Trinity College Dublin from 30th November-1st December 2017. The theme of this year's meeting was "Learning from Development to Engineering Therapeutics" and brought together more than 200 participants from all over the world, representing varying fields of biomaterials and basic and applied biomedical science. Alex Trotier (pictured) gave a poster presentation on his research entitled "The Development of an In Vitro Model of Peri-Electrode Gliosis". Also in attendance was Marc Fernandez who spoke on his recent breakthroughs in elucidating the effect of electromechanical stimulation on tendon regeneration and Dr Catalina Vallejo Giraldo who also gave a podium presentation on GAG functionalism neuroelectrodes for enhanced tissue integration and attenuated reactive gliosis.
