Marc Fernandez Awarded the Ph.D Degree Following a Successful Thesis ​Defence ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ntitled

Marc Fernandez was awarded the Ph.D degree after successfully defending his thesis on September 4th, 2019. Marc was co-supervised by Prof Abhay Pandit and was examined by Dr Ted Vaughan (NUI Galway) and Prof Pere Roca Cusachs (University of Barcelona). Marc has been a member of the Biggs Lab since 2013, when he initiated Ph.D studies into piezoelectric polymers in regenerative medicine, submitting a thesis entitled 'Piezoelectric scaffolds: Mediating Tendon Regeneration by Activation of Piezosensitive Receptors'. Marc has initiated a postdoctoral research position with Prof Andreas Garcia, at Georgia Tech, USA. All the Biggs Lab wish him the very best and look forward to hearing of his continued success.
